How to find MAC Address in Samsung Tab

For most of the WiFi devices for security we will be adding the MAC address of the connecting device (like laptop/PC/tablet/mobile) we are going to use.

For this we need to check a unique MAC Address for the device.

Below are the steps to find that Unique MAC address of the device.

Step 1:
Go to your settings

Step 2:
Find the WiFi tab and click the advanced button at the top right corner.

Step 3:
Click it and you can see a unique number there with a heading MAC Address.

How to connect to Wi-Fi in SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2

Any Tablet with out a connection to internet is not for much use. When ever we open a Tablet we will look for the internet connection and these devices will work only on 3G or WiFi.

The below are the steps that guide you to connect to WiFi  in Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
P.S: It will be the same for Samsung tablets.

Step 1:
Go to setting in your tab

Step 2:
Push the Wi-Fi to ON

Step 3:
you can scan for the Wi-Fi network you need.

Step 4:
Click on the network you want to connect

Step 5:
once it get connected it will display as connected

Step 6:
In some cases you if you need to add your MAC address of the Tab to your Wi-Fi Trusted sites

How to configure your Wi-Fi Device

This is for AIRLINK:

Make sure the Wi-Fi device is connected properly to the PC or Laptop properly.

Go to http://192.168.1.1
If it is the first time you need to give username and password as admin

It will look in the below format when logged in.

go to Password and change once:

go to Wireless and add the trusted stations and check Allow Trusted Stations only in case you want only for trusted stations

 give the station name and Mac address of the device you want to add

Save it and close it, it will allow only the trusted sites.

How to start with SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 2

Open your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2..

You can find two keys at the top of the tab

• One is power button and the other one is volume controller.

Just beside these two you can find a slot for SIM and another slot for Micro SD (max 32 GB)

Press the power button to start up...
For the first time...

when you power it will check with the SIM Card details, Gmail Details, Date and other.

You go with the basic information and you can skip the other details.

P.S: Charge it 100% for the first time before you use.
